New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has called for more funds to help the state to achieve the 2023 3GW of solar energy. 

Last week, the New York Public Service Commission to the applicant submitted an overview to 2023, expanding the funding needs of the state NY Sun plans.

The application is currently subject to review of the Commission, is expected to make a decision in a few months.

NYSERDA also requires cooperation with the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) and the New York State Public Service (DPS), to encourage the development of solar energy in the state.
